hi guys,

stats?
why save the stats?
or do you mean the torrents? if it is torrents, then all you have to do is save the files somehow (either on a dvd or another HDD) and later on re-check the torrent with the file just like you do cross-seeding.
If you format and have to reinstall your torrent client, you will lose your stats.
I suppose you could google to find the registry key where your client's stats are stored, but honestly, there isn't really much point to that.
Your client's stats aren't really that important anyway. That's why you have your private trackers keep your stats for you :D
Think of this more as a "fresh start".
-save all files from this folder C:\Documents and Settings\<UR AC NAME>\Application Data\uTorrent
-format ur pc
-then install utorrent
-replace all the files in same folder by overwritting
thats the way but be careful, i think u have to install the same version of utorrent as u already have on ur pc:)
You also need to make sure you copy all your .torrent files into the identical location you had them in the previous install, otherwise everything will just be ERROR messages in uTorrent.
That and what was previously mentioned about the uTorrent folder is all I did when I upgraded PCs and didn't want to add over 600 torrents individually to the new machine.
I'd personally never thought of saving my stats from uTorrent but if it's possible then that's great. Since some people like to see the client stats for invite requests, it'd be nice not to have to start over every time you reimage. I redo my machine about once a year for speed's sake so I'll be sure to try this next time. Thanks for the info guys.
