Thread: decrease in speed of seedbox

hi.i was experiencing high speed (around 8 MBps)torrent data transfer for the past 6 weeks.a local peer 10.240.xxx.xxx used to show up ,using btcache/0.16.0.0 torrent client (god knows what the heck that was) and set the download speed as high as 10 MBps.suddenly the peer is not seeding at anything more than 100-120 kbps. is there something i can do?

p.s.:i have another question.i hope not to sound stupid. i recently formatted my machine.does it have a remote chance of disturbing my torrent speed?

Are you using fresh torrents with active leechers? That's the big thing.

yes.absolutely.the same torrents which were getting downloaded at 8-10 MBps are now getting a aspeed of avg 100 kBps

Well the active leechers are probably gone or few in numbers, get some fresh releases and you'll see those speeds back up.

same with everything. have tried scores of torrents with high availability and active leechers as well

Well if that's so it maybe a problem with the other users on the server hogging the bandwidth, contact your seedbox provider, but I just believe you don't have the right torrents just yet.

i dont have a seedbox provider.nothing is official.i jus started receiving high speeds.thats it.
