To acquire the reps just try to post some helpful comments anywhere in the board, that actually contribute to the discussion at hand.
That way people start to like you and eventually rep you into those higher ranks...

There is actually no mystic trick behind this, as it is a community of people depending on each other. Just be friendly and active here on T-I and you should be fine.
