Thread: GFT: Packs and Hit&Run

Hello everybody , well I just signup at GFT, and they very strict with H&R's, obviously there are a ratioless tracker, my questions is : Can I download a file of a pack per day and seed them each one of the separtely for 48 or I have to download the entire pack and seed it from there?.

what you download a file or a whole pack (torrent) you need to seed for 48h. there is a script that controls H&R and when you will seed a torrent for 48h you are all good no matters if it's only a part (file) of the pack or the whole torrent...

If you do not share a torrent for at least 48 hours the following will happen:
01. Your download privileges will be removed
02. You may be warned
03. Your account may be disabled

Check the not safe to delete page before deleting or stopping torrents.

i want to add something, in my opinion, you just need your torrents live for 48hrs
that's enough, it means even you have not finished one torrent for 48hrs, it's still safe to delete it
the script will record your leech time which is also counted as seed time
you can check my theory by seeing the "not safe to delete llist"

I would like to add a question to this topic.

Do you have to seed continuously or can u stop for a while e.g. turn off computer for the night?

Right, there you are making up your own rules about when you can delete something... Are you staff? Didn't think so... Again, the simple rule of "download a byte, share a byte"!

If you really, really, really don't want to keep downloading it... Stop the torrent, set all files to "skip" or "dont download" and seed what you have for 48 hours.

@PureBooze : No, you have a whole week to complety the 48 hours seed-time. Here's:

GFT give you about a week to complete the minimum requirement of sharing. This is seeding for 48 hours and/or to a 1:1 ratio.

So i can't shut down over night, during work hours or similar break in sharing?
Where did you get that crazy idea? You still have the week but don't make a habit of downloading day 1 and unshare it for a few days and return seeding later. We will know that is your pattern and that is not the p2p spirit! Need to reboot, sleep, work, travel or whatever...? Just leave and return and most important of all: seed the required time before the week has passed.

Interesting!! You might have found a Loophole, idk if it works but not a good thing to do.

Cause, I assume you read there: Download a bit, seed a bit, so as u are leeching (pack in this case), the download amount will increase continouslywhich you wont be seeding for 48 hrs, said that there can be loophole (which I personally will avoid ;) )

Naah, you can ofc stop for a whole while and seed back : Most site have set it to be seeded in first 7 days, I am not sure about that for GFT,though if you fail for too long, the system will send you a PM, and thereafter you have 7 days to seed!!

i just want to say if you want to part seed a package, that's no problem
because once i tried to seed part of one package, i noticed that the time in the "not safe to delete list" is LEECHING TIME but not the SEEDING TIME
so i'm a little upset, but after the LEECHING TIME reached the 48hr, the torrent in the "not safe to delete list" is gone
my point is that you can part seed, not necessarily download the whole pack, and my theory confirms this but also reveals something else
of course i do not recomend you to cheat the system by continously downloading for 48hrs and delete it
by the way, i do not think such situation exists, because i usually finished the new torrents by 5-10 minutes, as you said, everyone should seed 48hr after you finished your downloading, in this theory i think i need to seed my torrents for 5-10min+48hr
but can i delete the torrents on exactly 48hrs? of course i can't
