Thread: psyBNC changing my nicks

I configured psyBNC to connect to several tracker IRC's so I can idle for bonus points, but it changes some of my nicks on certain chans whenever I close my mIRC client.

The only ones that don't change are the ones that have the same nick as my main network and the ones where the chans don't allow nick changes.



An example scenario would be:
My main network is T-I and my nick is gary_dell.
I have a secondary network which is BTN's irc and my nick there is gary.
I set up my BNC to connect to those networks.
Do /nick BTN'gary.
Close mIRC.
Open mIRC and connect to BNC and I find that my nick on BTN is different now, but still the same on T-I.

Btw, I'm sure that I set my away nick to nothing.

When you connect to a different server, do you always check the "New Window" box in the connect tab and type the correct "Nickname" into the bar? This is required on every reconnect.

Another option would be setting the awaynick to your actual nickname.
