Thread: TL IRC Help

Hello:

I looked for old threads about this, but they were closed.

I've done pretty much everything to get into the torrentleech irc server, but I keep getting the "you look like a bot" message.



If there's anything else I can do, please let me know. I noticed that in another thread, a moderator asked for the person's info so he could help unban him as a bot. I'm pretty sure I will need that too since I get the same message on IRC and on the website chat.

Maybe it's nickname-specific. Try changing your username to something else and then reconnecting to the server.

I already did that multiple times... I researched and I tried almost everything that people suggested on the internet, but nothing. I opened ports and still nothing.

I also tried everything I could think of in the IRC info and I still get the same message.

make sure that the clients real name is not the same as the nick name as this is recognized as a bot pattern, and also remove any numbers from your nick if it has any

Secondly, if you want to be repped into this community, you must have a unique username. Change it here.

Ok... I changed the IRC nickname which was the same name I have in TL and it worked... I'm almost certain that I tried that before, but maybe I'm wrong.

ABout the name... I like these forums and would like to keep visiting. Whoooop is my internet name so to speak and I like it, but I don't mind changing it at all if it's required.

Yes, it's required to change your username. Your username here must be unique and completely different from any trackers you're currently using.
