Default IRC and IP question about T-I

    Hello everybody,

So I know that some trackers don't like it if you get an invite on a forum and will ban you if they find out. I was wondering if they could find out if for instance you have T-I webpage and a xxxxx tracker webpage opened at the same time? If not could they trace your IRC if you are on T-I server channel and xxxxx tracker channel?

Also, is it a problem if I sign onto T-I from a lot of locations like my home, school (mutiple networks probably), work, internet cafe's, starbucks, etc., which I already do but never got around to asking since I get bored and often browse the site in my spare time wherever I'm at. Sorry if this is a problem.

    Thanks for your replies.

AFAIK - No problem in using T-I from different places in your city...
and about the site can check whether you have/had T-I open - yeah they can check via the CSS Hack & Check. So better use different browser for T-I.

and about tracing on IRC channel - i dont think they would do so - the main reason being- this is going to be manual checks - and secondly (maybe, let somebody other confirm) you cant get somebody others IP unless you are IRC Network Operator or using some IRC like freenode which display your IP in your vHost

I think there is no problem browsing T-I as long as you don't use any proxy or VPS.

About IRC, because T-I is on a separate IRC server than trackers IRC channels, they won't be able to trace you. But, note that when you are logged into an IRC server, using the WHOIS command you can see every channel that the user is a part of (only for the specific server in question!). For example:

    "/WHOIS Tralfamadorian":

    ....
    14:53 -!- channels : @#torrent-invites @#tihelp #tireview
    .....
    14:53 -!- End of WHOIS

You can actually see all 3 channels they are on, but only within a single IRC server.
