    If you are running a 32 bit operating system your not going to get more than 4 gb total.
    The operating system can only map out 4gb of total memory. This includes everything that has memory on your computer.
    Soundcard, videocard, processor cache, ect, ect..

    Chances are you will see about 3.1 - 3.3GB of memory total.



    If your using a 64 bit OS, try settings your BIOS to the default settings, usually that clears up any settings that are causing issues within windows.

    Ok, since this was solved... i should say:
