Default Is it normal for EAC to crash?

Honestly, what is with Exact Audio Copy ?

So i downloaded the latest version of Eac, Exact Audio Copy. Because I want to be able to rip the audio off of my Cd's as FLAC's, unfortunately whenever i try to go to compression options and select a path that the compression will use, and try to select the FLAC, it freezes followed by it crashing. Why is this? I have to be careful what i do on it, or it will crash, so whenever i rip my audio off, i can only rip it off as the default WAV's, and so i decided to use a third party program that also uses lame for 320 kbps encoding called winLAME, and once i had encoded the WAV's of my music into 320 kbps mp3's, they all came out as white noise.

What am i doing wrong? I've followed all the tutorials, and step by step guides off of their own sites. Why is it constantly crashing, my computer is top of the line, so it's nothing wrong my my end, lol.

Thank you for all your help!

P.s. Please do not refer me to What.cd's User guide, or Hydrogenaudio Knowledgebase:Main Page - Hydrogenaudio Knowledgebase :p They are really of no help, what i came here for is in hope that someone may have experienced or is experiencing the same problem as myself.

Well, EAC has been in beta for a while, it's expected to see a few bugs now and again. Make sure you've installed the latest flac codec from here.
Also here's how my External Compression tab looks like, maybe it helps:

    The Additional command-line options writes:
    Code:
    -8 -V -T "ARTIST=%a" -T "TITLE=%t" -T "ALBUM=%g" -T "DATE=%y" -T "TRACKNUMBER=%n" -T "TOTALTRACKS=%x" -T "GENRE=%m" -T "ALBUMARTIST=%v" -T "ALBUM ARTIST=%v" -T "COMMENT=EAC Secure Mode, Test & Copy, AccurateRip, FLAC -8" %s
(I'm pretty sure it doesn't need to be exactly that for it to work, it was just a requirement for Pedro's uploaders)
    specialized and lostatlantis like this.
