Thread: Cannot sign-up on BitMe

Hi all,

This is the first time that I have a problem with a sign-up on a tracker:

I seem to be connected through a proxy server, eventhough my Firefox configuration says; no proxy.
Don't want to change all the settings on my PC just for one tracker. At the same time
I would be happy to use my received BitMe invite. Otherwise it would be a waste.



Is there anybody who knows how to solve this thing?

i had similar problems, your isp probably uses a transparent proxy. one way is to get a friend's ISP whose connection is not proxied.
for me i used a mobile usb connection which was another ISP and signed up.

This happened to me, when I used my tethered phone to sign up. I just went to a library, signed-up, and can use it with my phone now.
