Thread: rutorrent RSS Feeds not AUTO-updating on GUI

i have a quick question. I am new to the rutorrent world. I have feeds working properly on utorrent no issue on my home box.

I have (2) new seedboxes (im trying out different providers) and this is happening on BOTH (different providers) so Im thinking its a common issue that I am missing.

I have my feeds setup, the initially load and I can see all the torrents in the feed. The problem is that the feeds are not updating with new torrents automatically in the gui. Even if I right click and select UPDATE FEED it still does not show the new torrents.. if I hit CNTRL-F5 and reload the actual page.. the new torrents show up under the feeds.

I'm thinking this is a cache issue/refresh time-out thing. I did some reading, I tried to change the request timeout in the rutorrent interface all the way up to 90000 ms and it still doesnt work.

so to recap:
setup RSS feeds
RSS feeds show torrents upon new creation
RSS feed doesnt auto-update in gui
right click feed, select Update Feed doesnt update torrents in gui
hit CNTRL-F5 and it updates the torrents in the feed

I've been curious about this as well. Just so you know, the feeds are still being picked up when they are supposed to be (for downloads) in my experience, but not seeing the screen update bugs me.
