PTP Help
Hi guys,
I just found out how to view my hit n runs at PTP, and discovered I have a fairly atrocious record. In an attempt to rectify this, i've started seeding my torrents again, but the seed time isn't changing at all. Some of the torrents have hundreds of seeds and no leeches, so i'm never gonna get to a 1:1 ratio. Advice?

Repetitively "hit and running" (downloading and not seeding) on torrents you download will result in consequences. You must seed all torrents for at least 48 hours in a two week period or until you have seeded out at least one full copy.
from the rules <- i don't know how much time you need so the seed time is updated but just keep seeding and i think it will be good...
yeah i don't know how i was oblivious of that rule until recently, i've been on the site for a while now. I've just also realised that on my page of hit n runs that the ratio isn't updating either..., maybe it's only updated daily? or maybe even less often....Originally Posted by sam8cb

if you are feeling quite guilty about your actions, why not donate to the tracker, you may even get upload or bonus credit.
If you value the tracker, you might want to take a pro-active approach. Personally if I was in your shoes, I would approach tracker staff on IRC. Explain your situation, and that you realise you screwed up, by accumulating these H&Rs, and you are apologetic and promise that you will not H&R from now on, as well as being willing to reseed past H&R's, and if you can make a donation as the previous poster suggested, to atone. If money is tight even a small donation will go a long way, to helping your case.
In my experience both with trackers, and to be honest any organisation, is that people appreciate it if you are up front. It makes their job easier, and if you are upfront and honest they will be inclined to believe you will be a good user moving forward.
