Thread: getting little DL speed, high upload speed

im having a problem with bittorrent right now...
im downloading at 0.1KB/s, but im uploading at 100kb/s
its usally the opposite.
my regular DL speed is 400KB/s - 600KB/s

this problem acured after doing a complete recovery of my computer.

Can't be true fow the whole torrent downloading time: to upload at speed 100 kb/s you firstly have to donwload something and you can't really download anything at 0.1 kb/s speed.

Most likely this torrent currently has no seeders with 100% data that's why no DL. But new people still jump on this torrent and DL what original seeder shared before- that's why 100 kbps UL.

Pretty much. The seeder, if there is one, has too many peers to send the file out to so the file is edging it's way out very slowly and you're sharing what you have already.

with ANY torrenting problems there is an easy check you can do to make sure the problem is not on your torrent clients side - just download smth popular from a public tracker. both your up and down speeds should max out because of the many peers connected.

but in this case, i'm sticking with the other dudes. there probably aren't enough seeders and you have already got everything from the remaining leechers. if this torrent of yours is from a public tracker, then well, just add more trackers to it

figured it out! it wasnt anything wrong with anything concerning the torrent. it was actually my computer i think
i noticed there was some windows updates ready (a hole bunch of them actually) i installed all the 26 updates and after that it worked just fine.
