    Default Not connecting to Peers??

hi, i just started an account in demonoid & started seeding a file. It says 1180 seeds & 1150 peers. but i'm not connecting to any of the peers. sometimes i connect to one peer, that's all. So i'm not uploading anything. I'm using utorrent 2.2 and the only setting i have changed in utorrent is unchecking a few things, those are 1) enable DHT 2) enable DHT for new torrents & 3) enable peer exchange. Is there any way to connect with more peers. In public trackers i still have a good upload speed

One more doubt: I have a dynamic IP. so my ISP automatically changes my IP every 24 hrs. will it affect my ratio count in private trackers b'coz demonoid takes one day to update the ratio

Is there any tutorial here in the tutorial section for the right settings in utorrent??

Disable DHT and check if you have open ports and if something blocking your utorrent
EDIT: Maybe the torrent is overseeded try to download some fresh torrents with peers it should work...
and demonoid it's kind of ratio free you can't get banned for low ratio and the stats on demonoid are not updating...

Disable DHT, Peer Exchange, and Peer Discovery for your Demonoid torrents. This will insure your uploads don't bypass the Demonoid tracker and are properly credited.

The problem with Demonoid's tracker is it uses the IP address to track ratio and unfortunately that address is constantly changing. A ssedbox could be your best solution.

Here is a link from the Demonoid forums explaining the IP issue:

amw123 there is a passkey in the torrent so it doesn't matter form what ip you seed like i said before that the ratio system is not updating it's broken...

Make sure you're connectible. If you're using uTorrent you should have a green circular icon near the bottom of the app. If not, that means other peers will have difficulty connecting to you, aka you're NOT connectible.

Find your router's/gateway's IP address and login and forward the port specified in utorrent under your computer's internal IP. Use the cmd prompt and type in ipconfig to figure out the router IP and your internal IP.

So if your router's ip is http://192.168.0.1/ and your computer's internal IP is 192.168.0.133, under your router's port forward menu you'd set your IP 192.168.0.133 to forward whatever port you specified in uTorrent options, both UDP and TCP.

maybe you should try to reset bans and clear you peer list from your advanced settings.
    Maybe add more connections

thnx a lot guys for ur help. port forwarding is done and changed the utorrent settings.

In utorrent settings under the queeing tab i checked the option to have higher priority for seeding tasks. will it affect my download speed??

I have one more doubt: i have seen same files uploaded to public trackers & private trackers by different ppl. For ex. " The Mechanic R5 IMAGiNE " torrent has been uploaded in public tracker & private tracker too. The torrent link is different, but the files are same. I have already downloaded that torrent frm a public tracker. so if i download the torrent link frm the private tracker and add it on utorrent and force check the files then i can seed that torrent without downloading anything from the private tracker. So my question is : Is there any danger of me getting CAUGHT??? ( I really don't want to disappoint the ppl who gave me the invite )

This is called cross seeding and it's allowed on most of the private trackers You can do that without a problem.
