lol.... I would really like to see the end results of this program. I hear plenty of buzz from folks that it really does work. Its the starting part thats difficult.
If my whole IT certification thing doesn't workout, I'll probably be going into law enforcement and would really need to get in shape.....
This thread may be my P90 life support...you can make me or break me TI....lol (j/k)
Hey, ive used p90x though personally its not for me. I like the gym basically because its a more motivating factor for myself, and there is a better selection of things to do.
Personally I found there diet, a little to much work, if I had my own chef then it bare able, but cooking preparing all that is more harder than the workout itself.
So I would suggest eating healthy not necessarily following there diet meal for meal.
But on a more positive not, it does work and takes a lot of commitment. Ive seen great results from people, so really its your preference. Whoeever is on this prgrarm should post pics of before and after it will help motivate eachother!
I'm 6'2" and 160.
My stepbrother (little smaller than me but same build) started this and about 3 weeks in his results convinced me to do it, so I'm just gonna rip his dvds and do it myself (I only see him about once a week, and he BOUGHT the whole freaking $99 thing)
It's kind of intimidating though, I watched him get pretty winded just by doing the stretches. Knowing me Il'l probably quit after week 2.
@aplomado
Your height to weight ratio is actually pretty good to start the p90. I think its tougher for a tubby to get started.
I've poked around with the p90 and theres actually a requirement before you even begin the program. If you don't meet the requirements, they recommend using the 6 weeks program.
I have done P90X and it is for real
I loved it
Ok, here are a few inputs:
Be sure that your level of fitness is sufficient before beginning. Be sure that you meet the minimum requirements. Even if you do meet the minimum requirments, I encourage you to start slow. Don't begin going 6 or 7 days a week. Start with 2 days a week to start with and perhaps by week 4 to 6 you can begin the full program.
It is intense and takes serious commitment
I agree with 'chunky' regarding diet. I think following your own healthy diet plan is a great idea as long as you know what healthy eating actually looks like. I find that the world of nutrition is complicated. Put a 100 experts in a room and they all offer a different flavor to nutrition. SImple things - organic whole living foods, majority raw, nuts, seeds, bright colors, many fruits and veggies, carefully selected meats and eggs if you are not vegetarian.
