Thread: well designed website...

I think the loading is boring and browsing flash sites is a pain in the a**
Besides, when you are listenning to music, the background sound gets annoying
But this is just my opinion :001_tongue:

verry nice designed, i like it. but also the flash loading and waiting for no reason

I hate when sites have super long intros and difficult ways of maneuvering throughout them. It may look cooler and chic, but I prefer a clean basic non-flashed out site. A lot of clothing companies have super complex sites where there is an elaborate transition between in mouse click, it's usually slow and gets old. Just my opinion. But for UFC this is good, the people involved already have no sense of style with brands like Affliction and others affiliated.

i keep on downloading and uploading so theres no bandwith left for me to browse flash sites.keep on waiting for the pg to load and at time i stop the downs for the pg to load

Some people like it, other hate it, but flash can be useful and its nice!

This particular site was prolly made with papervision 3D ( a actionscript 3D library ) but somehow whoever did it, didn't get it as smooth as it should have been... but anyways its still a good site.

As a web-designer i must admit i do hate full flash websites, not because of the loading ( which is fast nowadays, at least at my end ) but because they can get pretty confusing and can add unnecessary complexion to a website.

I do think the best sites are those who use flash intelligently like in a banner or the menu.. although those types of effects are quickly being replaced by javascript library's, which can do a lot of the things flash can with almost no loading time. But still, flash is well known for its RIA's and the power it has to blend with other programing languages such as PHP, etc.

Anyways its always faster to develop a site using html + ajax + PHP(if needed) than using flash.. at least for more complicated and full-featured websites.

This is more obnoxiously designed than anything. Even the sound effects are damn annoying. I can't stand when sites are pretty much all flash/animation... I rarely stay on these types of pages for more then a few seconds before I'm like "I'll just find the same info somewhere else... kbai"

Edit** I had to find the URL, One site I came across that I thought made nice use of flash was Angelworld 8 but anyway; I understand what you mean by it being a sports site but that does not mean it has to be flashy, fast paced and have an animation/sound effect for EVERYTHING.

be on a nice paid from them, i bet its a awesome job to work for them.

lucky i have a fast pc & a good ish connection or i would never be able to go on it.

yeah i agree with this, there's way too much going on.. the laoding bit at the start is cool tho.
