Thread: A project I've been woking on some time ago.

It was meant for a competition. I still can't belive I came out sixth :laugh:
The original is much bigger, it was printed on A1 paper and still had resolution to spare

VERY nice! I'm loving the colors a lot, and the fonts.

The other five must have been beyond amazing if you only came in sixth!

Not bad. Good concept, lacks a bit of execution though.

This is a very nice piece. I like the colors that you've chosen and the concept is there but what its missing is flow. Like when I look at it the first thing I see is the that green splotch with the text on it and then it is difficult for my eye to go to the rest of the piece. An easy fix is to use one those vector grass-like things you put on the bottom of the tree and put it behind the green splotch pointing to the orange splotch. That way if the green splotch is the first thing you want people to read, it leads to the next thing, and that leads to the bottom text. The text can use a little bit more work too, it might have been a bit easier to read when it was printed but from what I see for me the text can use a bit more kerning, this is most noticeable in the orange splotch, the first few words are difficult for me to read (even though I can not read the language its hard to see the letters) also with the text you can have the text in the shape of the splotch instead of just having it centered-aligned. Last but not least the green splotch is covering up all of the beautiful imagery of the trees, try finding another spot for it :D. This is a very nice piece with alot of potential, just gotta tweak it some more bud, good job!
