Heheh, wish i could help, but i have almost no 3D capability.

And my 3D guy is all tied up with CAD.

But do you want a .max file or the final Render?

Are you looking for people with greater experience/skill in the 3d programs or? Because 3 people have offered their help, and you could maybe just let us give it a try if you want to spare the SCT invite. But imo it will just something similar to "trading" since you are "selling" a invite for some 3d/2d work.
    Please don't be offended:D

you right Xilas it sounds like trading but, my thoughts were more leaning towards a contest since there were atleast 3 people interested... think more like banner for a site contest or make me a sig contest...

Honestly i haven't really thought about how i would do this, but if you read in my previous posts you'll see that i am happy with my own design that i did using photoshop and illustrator. i just thought that there might be some hidden talent here at T-I and i would get the chance to see what the logo would have looked like if done in 3d.
this logo that i done is already printed out on business cards and looks great.

i know that 3d modeling takes up some time and thought it would be a good idea to have a contest that atleast someone could walk away with a reward...

i'm not offended at all , i see where you coming from , i also wouldn't risk my own account there, so i wouldn't just give it out to the winner unless i knew that this account would be looked after....

but i am having second thoughts now, you've planted the seed and left me doubting my idea...

Well if you should make a competition where learning is one of the points with it. Then the winner should do a tutorial of how he managed to create the 3d logo:)
You should indeed also be really happy for your current logo, since it looks good.

I like a lot of the other arguments for having a contest but imo this one is not really usefull. True that it require a effort to make a proper 3d logo, but it also require a effort to accumulate invites to the top trackers. A lot of other people are also doing a lot of work without getting any direct reward, and that's imo the whole idea with this forum:)

Ahh at the picture you posted now got a different background. On http://img188.imageshack.us/img188/9...sinesscard.jpg you can see that your new background actually already affect the shadow of the logo, and I was actually wondering why there were "stripes" in the shadow.
