Noticed a lot of threads with people wanting others to make them and/or people not knowing how to. Well i was one of those people, but i did some research, and made one of my own (now in my signature!)
TIP: I used Adobe Photoshop CS4 Micro (micro's virtually the same as regular)
but here are the steps i took, for those out there still interested in learning:
1) YouTube - How to create an Animated gif
Follow that video, at least the first half
2) To get the right dimensions for the sig bar, just c+p someone elses bar into photoshop, and record the dimensions, so you can make blank projects to work on, within the optimal size (at least if you wanna make em look like the rest of the bars that you've seen) BUT you can make your bar w/e dimensions you like, just keep it within reasonable range (and file size haha) for putting into a signature or uploading to the internet, for that matter.
3) Idk what other people do, but i individually made each image, with like the "what.cd" and it saying "power user or w/e", this is where you just have to be creative and take initiative (and have at least intermediate experience with photoshop)
4) the video will tell you the rest about adding them together to animate
what the video WONT tell you is how to properly save it IN CS4
File > "save for web and devices" > you'll see a large window with all this different information BUT as long as you have it selected to save as a GIF, you'll be good
and thats it! those are my tips for making a sig bar, good luck! if this was confusing, im sorry, im not experienced in writing tutorials at all, i try to relay info as best as i can. If this helped you, rep me, or thank me, or at least give me tips or suggestions to add to this!
