Thread: Which music player do you use?

Edit from SunSpyda - Renamed the thread's title from "what mp3 player do you use?" to "Which music player do you use?" because the original title looked like it was talking about actual MP3 players like iPods.



i still use winamp. its always been reliable. loading itunes takes forever since my library is large. whats everyone else using? any comparable to winamp?

I'm on a mac, so I really only use iTunes. I also use a lot of the iWorks suite programs so it's nice for compatibility and embedding things.

i'm lazy and just using windows media player.. how is winamp better? (and I don't mean skins :)

I use iTunes to manage my music for iPod reasons, but generally play music with VLC.

i use an ipod video 30gb now, used to have a small asian 1gb player which was great at the time, till i got the ipod

I use Foobar 2k in Windows & XMMS in BSD or Linux.

Foobar 2k, I think is faster than Winamp & comes with less junk. Also plays more formats out the box.
XMMS is just so slick & fast. I doesn't try taking control of your PC like iTunes does. It's resource usage is SO low.

have not had the time to import my music to my mac yet so im only using spotify atm

I have been using Winamp for a long time. Basically because I'm too lazy to look at other alternatives. I probably should look at other mp3 player alternatives :)

I use Jet Audio for about 2 years now and it's one great media player
