Windows XP/Debian, OSX is for people who need there computer to hold there hand through everything and have a puppet master telling them what they can/can't do.

For the record, PC stands for Personal Computer, that could be any computer with any operating system.

This is absurd. I personally use OS X and find it the most intelligent, easy-to-use, and in-depth operating system out there. I am a very computer-literate person, and that's why I lean towards using OS X more, it doesn't take a ridiculous amount of time to figure out how to edit one feature of it. Mac for the win.

I prefer PC because it's much more customizable with a wide variety or programs. Mac is kind of picky and wants you to buy and use there products and only there's which makes it harder to use some of the programs that you love. Although Macs do have some very nice software I think that they are overpriced.

I respectfully disagree - OS X is just as complicated as the user wants it to be. It's rock solid - but for users that know their way around in the OS also can get into the "complicated" side of the system. Dont know why your post comparing the bike with the bicycle is a Windows vs Mac comparison.

Infact this thread was doing just fine before your comment.

Imo, this is not a question of being more difficult to use or not, if u dont work with graphics forget MAC, its the only advantage that system has, otherwise dont waste your money. If ur a rich boy or girl then go ahead and do everything u like :P.

Yea - that doesn't justify much.

But carry on. Fanboy's exist on either side.

To a certain extent - that is true. Surprisingly enough, for my univ. program Mac's are the preferred choice as well. And it has nothing to do with graphics - it's pure science, and all we do is run simulations, on a Mac.

If you like paying 3x as much for something that looks good but doesn't perform any better at all, then go for a mac. They aren't bad computers but their demographic (not saying ALL but mostly) it's people who don't know what they want and they get talked into buying something shiny for all that money. When you could easily build a PC thats equal or greater then the capabilities of a Mac, as well as being upgradeable, for almost half the price then theres something wrong. I don't like the look, I've dealt with their customer service, and I've repaired them. I'll still choose PC over mac in all of my experiences. Besides, I love my full tower case with 2x285GTX cards and shiny lights that blink with my music, and UV reactive coolant running throughout the case. Now THATS flashy stuff worth spending the extra money on. Not a namebrand that looks like crap.. -.-

    On a side note.

Thanks to Freedom for repping me in.
