'Just get a Mac'. I will once it cost less, has an easy way to install Unix OSs on it, and is easier to mantain the hardware on it. Mac OS is good, but you cannot comment on the security. Linux = Very few viruses like Mac. That windows security method took me 3 minutes by the way. It would take more than 3 minutes to earn the money to buy a Mac! Macs are great, but viruses WILL be written for it whether you like it or not. Back when the Macintosh LC2s were popular in UK universitys viruses were being made for it. iPhoine already has a virus, so more apple products are going to suffer the same fate. I havn't got a problem with Macs, but when people say I 'viruses will never be made for Mac' I get the idea they know little about viruses.

Why do people always think that PCs only have Windows? Ever heard of an alternative OS? By the way, if the registry & HDD is kept in good condition, XP is actually very stable. I know that n00bs can't mantain computers though.

Thanks a lot for the info, I'll google it in a bit. I'm gonna try running it in a VM first though.

I can say only that you will have a lot of problems running it in VM. On this forum i've a friend pashaboy. He installed me this system. He has a lot of info about it. He can provide you with all links and so on... Just ask him and i'm sure he will help you.

Mac/Windows are nearly always neck to neck when it comes down to advanceness, due to compitition. Mac's glossy GUI effects are not 'Advance'. WINDOWS IS NOT THE ONLY OS FOR PC! Sorry about the caps, but people STILL think this is the case. If you want to compare Macs & PCs you must remember that PCs have Unix OSs avalible. Linux has had translusent toolbars for years before Vista. KDE can be made more flash than Mac OS & Vista. Unix systems have ALWAYS been ahead with 'advanceness'. Superior security & GUI customisability.

I'll partition a section of my host HDD for it then. :D Do you know what file system it requires?

We will ask each other questions we want. If you don't like it, disconnect from the net & through your PC/Mac out of the window.

I don't know exactly but something like this MacOS Extended....installer on DVD make it. You won't to worry about it. But the main is your partition should be in FAT32 to install this system
