Vidar said it best, resistance to change. XP is know and easy to use for most people. BUt slowly people will convert to vista/windows 7. If anyone has tried it, its the same as vista but with some minor problems fixed. The beta versions out there right now are not even close to the final thing but if you can the ability try it out for yourself...

I will only get this if it has DX11 same as DX10 with Vista

Windows XP is still the best, no doubt.....

The info out there right now is suggesting that this version of Windows, blows Vista out of the water. That said, I think it is still not as good as OSX Leopard.

They have the leaked beta at T-warez.com (as well as many other trackers, but I know the one at t-warez works).

And more one Windows. Vista still slow and they are making a new one?! I don't like. I still use Xp and LOVE Xp. Vista is a little more beauty, but just it. I hate his system. Slow and we can't do anything with OUR computer! :/

7 is amazing. if your a student you can get premium for about 30 bucks i think. if your on xp, i suggest sticking to that. if your on vista, upgrade NOW.

    -coolest features about 7
    stacking windows
easier to eject/find devices (quicker too)
bottom tabs are laid out nicely into one icon (once you hover over that icon, it will show you all your tabs for that application)
services are turned off whenever you dont need them automatically( which is one of the reasons why 7 runs faster)

this is also a nice link to learn more about 7

I have to agree that Win 7 is pretty good, Ive been running it in various forms since the beta in both 32bit and 64bit. Its a bit better with hardware than vista and seems to pretty much support any hardware and software that vista does.

One thing that I really liked was the ability to stream HD mkvs to the xbox through the media centre extender interface. You didnt use to be able to do this. You need the plugin here though

which basically splits the audio and video streams into somethign the xbox can understand.

having said that I much prefer to use software such as XBMC or media portal as a media frontend.

But I digress, I think win 7 is definitely worht a buy, especially if you have a netbook as it runs very well on low end hardware and is much better than xp from all aspects.
