Its is true... my friend just bought it a few days back.
Well, the reason being most games cost at maximum $50.
Now consider the GNI of India (PPP) at $2,740 and that of US being $45,850
So that means an average indian will have to shell out 1.82% of his yearly expenditure amount on buying 1 game. Compare that to the american who will be shelling out a measly 0.11% of his yearly expenditure for the same game. Sounds unfair, right?
So, piracy runs rampant in such cases.
By selling the games at $10, I would say it is a smart move by the creaters of GTA IV, as this would mean more people will buy original (a lot more than just 5 times as some people would like to consider) instead of the very few they would be selling otherwise.
