Thread: Torrents vs Rapidshare

since last two year i get an conclusion that torrent is too god than any direct download free downloads n etc.rapidshare i the worst thing now slow download speed too flctuating download n too much of waiting time and torrent is just a click away longer to start the download.

This is why I came here. Get away from all the rapidshare stuff. I remember I'd have to plan out my week in intervals of rapidshare downloads just to download 1 game. Now I can do that in under 2 hours with torrents =)

In all honesty, I use to be pro HTTP, after all it is safer, and I never spent any money as I was phishing rapidshare premium accounts, but after a while you start to notice that the whole scene is messed up, WBB and ProjectW are filled with children, it's like 4chan but without the meme's and Anonymous, plus the jDownloader (The best download manager) is written in Java, enough said.

Private trackers are much better than rapidshare, definitly.

Private trackers is the only way

I had this debate the other night with my girls brother. He is pretty tech-savvy and I asked him if he was a member to any private trackers. He said that he doesnt use torrents because he likes rapidshare. I asked him why and he said that the speeds are much higher there. I explained to him that he was using public trackers and thats why he got better speeds on RS. His other reason was that, on RS, he is able to get things in Czech. For non-english speakers, that seems like a good reason.

I told him that there are probably CZ trackers out there, but do not know of any. Do any of you?

In my point of view, any starters who wants to start downloading warez would only need to pay a minimum of 10 Euro per month, and he/she could download as much as he want. But that was last time when RS did not limit the number of traffic you can download per day. Now it's different. They limit your traffic, limit your bandwidth, and even removed the Free Rapidpoints conversion to Premium accounts feature.

RS is quietly running out of bandwidth. I wonder how much longer can they last.
