There are some sites that upload movies a bit after they appear on torrent. This saves you from risking yourself being caught.

Torrent Is Better But IT's Depend on which tracker u like

I have been using RapidShare premium accounts for about a year, whereas I have been using torrents for several years now. From my residential connection my speeds on RapidShare as well as torrents (on a private tracker) are 700kBytes/s - 1500kBytes/s. If the torrent is on a public tracker, speeds are generally going to be quite slower.

A lot of scene releases are being uploaded directly to RapidShare so people can download something on RapidShare just as fast as it would take to download a torrent. You will see things being released on forums such as warez-bb just about the same time you will see them on a private tracker.

There is less unpacking (unrar-ing) evolved with RapidShares and they generally take less time to decompress than those smaller 14.3 MB parts of a torrent. If you find a RapidShare download on a search engine such as Google, the only problem that you may sometimes encounter are passworded rars or zips. (This happens to me every three or four months.) Finding downloads with Google is quite effective if you know what to search for.

Not if you know where to look... free premium accounts are available all over the net.

but the thing was that i was able to download enough even without premium ac. using proxies so I never really got the motivation to search for premium accounts

much prefer torrents. find them much faster if using a private tracker

Torrents are better if you a: don't have great bandwidth and b: are easier to search and c: looking to get big files. Rapidshare has it's place but you really need a premium account if you don't want to be waiting forever.
