Any 3d Users Here?
Eh? What programs you use? Maya? 3ds Max? XSI? other? Too many questions?
The reason I'm asking, is there are a couple o' tuts I've been working on for mental ray and max. if there's any interest, I'll post some stuff. Also if there are any suggestions I can create some stuff.
I like to play around with Cinema4D every now and then. Haven't had the time for it recently, however.
That's a nice one. I did one project on that one back when I had a PowerBook and wanted to see which 3d proggy I liked most on mac. That has tons of cool features built in that you have to pay extra for in more expensive apps.
im into maya, i think that is one cool app. especially it's scripting abilities.
Yeah, Maya is nice. I wish I could do one or two full projects with it to see if I really like it better than max. My impressions from playing with it for a couple of days was that it seems to manage memory MUCH better than max. You have to do all kinds of work arounds in 3ds Max on big scenes just to get the app to run at a reasonable speed.

You should try Zbrush if you want to get into some serious detail. i Love zbrush so give it a look sometime.

Very cool Tutorial Site. They friggin have tons of stuff. Zbrush wouldn't do me much good at my current job doing engineering visualization. I do want to check it out some time though. I used to do a lot of characters, but now it's all non organic stuff.
