Thread: Your best ratio proof

This question is for you guys who have over 50 iGivers not from bonus but mainly from invites.

In some GA's the I see a requirement something like:

• 2 ratio proofs of your best trackers

This has always slightly confused me. I mean, just what exactly are you asking for? By "best tracker" do you mean:

• A worthy tracker?
• A hard to seed tracker?
• A rare tracker?
• A popular tracker?
• Or a combination of the above.

Because I have all those. And my performance at those trackers vary. I would think by "best tracker" you mean proofs of:

• Total data transferred uploading
• Total data transferred downloading
• Join date (loyalty)

Because my best trackers according to what I think "the best tracker should be" are trackers that are always open for sign-up and not necessarily the kind of tracker you claim to lengthen your e-peen.

My iGiver is very low and of course this is no reflection of my dedication here at T-I. But I'm starting to make my own GA's and I'm just wondering if you could clarify the meaning of "your best tracker" and if I'm off target here.

I also think your replies could benefit all the users trying to get the invites they always wanted.

The best tracker it means tracker that you use the most and you have the best down/upload there that's it. More rare/hard to seed the tracker proof is the better.

Yeah, this covers the most important things. A longer life in the tracker is also a very important thing (less chance that the guy is a trader, traders get busted and banned everywhere eventually).

What i consider perfect is a 1.0~1.5 ratio with a huge traffic, that means the guy actually download from it and knows how to seed everything properly. A harder to seed tracker means a better skill in seeding and a less chance that the invite will be wasted wih someone who got disabled for dling too much without having a buffer to do it.

Rarity doesn't have anything to do with it, at least for me. In example, some guy who can maintain a 1.0 ratio at BMTV has more seeding knowledge than someone who can barely make to 1.0 at P.

Sam and Fractal covered all that is necessary. People seem to think that it only refers to really hard to seed trackers, but not necessarily, it just has to be the best tracker among your collection [Not the best word to use] where you commit most of your time and effort to, and therefore vary from individual to another. I personally don't ask much about "best tracker" in my G/A, i just judge by what people put up when i leave the requirement vague. Those who are "smarter" would themselves put their best tracker on show to increase there chances, and i assume that it is their best tracker.

I decide off that but sometimes i may as for extra proofs, and what not =].

well said sam8cb.ratio proofs only to stop collectors but even proofs not helping me.i see some of my invitees not using them at all even a KB.

in my opinion your best ratio proof should be from a tracker you use the most and have the following
a) a decent ratio should have a buffer in place
b) longevity should be a member for at least 6 months
c) upload should have at least have been able to upload 1 torrent as some hard to seed trackers it is the only way to survive
d) some sort of community activity within the tracker even a couple of posts but something and
e) by at a user level above the default level whether it be member, power user or whatever it may be but not at entry level
this is only my opinion on what I look for

I would rather give an invite to a guy who realy needs an invite then asking for a lots of ratio proofs , one is enough .

I usually look to see if he has a positive ratio on a tracker without freeleech , it's not very important if the tracker is very hard to seed or not , if you can mantain a 1.0 ratio on a tracker without freeleech it means you can handle an 1.0 on all tracker ( well that's my opinion ) .

So for me a speedtest and a ratio proof to get a main idea about the user and a good explanation on the question " why you need it " is more then enough .

As for example a person who will ask TvT.ro and he tells me he own a BTN and BitmeTV accout will most likely won't recieve the invite as it more likely he won't use the accout , of course if he explains well why he wants the invite he gets it .


Ps : my iGiver might not be over 50 , but T-I is not the only place where i gave invites :)

Hi, well I am working on my way of 100 igivers, I dont have 50 yet. I could of have alot, but due to me changing the way I look at potential invitee's not all get approved. I had invited a couple of cheaters and so. Its not really fun to have invite's taken away at your favorite tracker. So that changed my overhaul of things.

*Ratio Proof - I ask for a ratio proof of that tracker with my name searched so that I can be sure the proof isnt photo shop. I look for cheating icons and stuff like bookmarks for any site I dont approve off.

*Profile LInk - This is a sure fire way to be sure he cant cheat a ratio proof and will have exact gb up and down. This can also tell you how long you have been at a site. The longer you have been at a site the more trustworthy you are. For a guy being 1 week in a site and having 900gb up and 40gb down. Should raise a red flag. Also tge only way he can cheat this is by giving another profile link. So, I would send a message to the profile link verifying that it his account.

*Speed Tests - I recently just started asking for 2 speedtests, 1 minute apart. This has to be recent. What this does is he cant cheat a speedtests via twice by stealing somebody else's speed test. Make sure it matches where he lives.

Hmm, not sure where Im going with this, if you need a lamens term of best tracker. I would mean, a tracker with a 1.0 ratio and like 6 months enabled at a tracker minimum. Posting on forums and comments is a plus.
