Sorry if this is the wrong section but I'm new here so have mercy on me mods!

Now, I'd like to know the opinions of fellow BR rip downloaders as to what the best size of these rips is. My thinking generally is, for a personal monitor, say 18" to 24", 720p rips of around 4-7 GB are reasonable, and you'll certainly feel an improvement over standard DVD quality. On larger LCD/Plasma screens, personally mine is 40" 1080p, I reckon rips of 8-15 GB are perfectly fine. Dare I say it but to a layman like me, I couldn't discern much difference between a retail version of The Dark Knight compared with a 15 GB rip. I also don't have a sound system so in that sense Blu Ray's improved sound doesn't really affect me either.

Opinions?
