Thread: Why Do People Cheat !!!

Not an answer to why - just interested in everyones comments on this everyday phenomena.

I trawl the posts on TI day after day bit like a Whore lol - and the amount of members banned on here is astounding.

Not particularly new members but 75% ers and long term members too
Okay we all screw up from time to time but why risk losing being part of a community like this too flush it down the loo ?

Some not all Noobies go through the inital interview to get in - get an invite and try and cheat on the tracker from day one why ?
Thet get banned from here - banned from the trackers.

Am I missing something here ?!!!!!!

Because they are Lazy, and are not prepared to spend the time to it properly.

Actually, it's mostly because they're unfortunate to have a good internet connection. Also some are blessed with a good download speed and extremely poor upload speeds. So to survive they resort to cheating their uploads.

Of course some could just be plain lazy and like to leech but there's plenty of other places to leech from without using a tracker.

I also believe some just like the challenge and/or are simply intrigued with modifiying torrent clients for fun/hobby.

Yeah I think they have poor internet connection. or they dont want to slow down their internet connection when they surf in internet?

I think the reasons for those people to cheat are...
*have a slow upload connections and can't afford a seedbox.
*trying to be cheap and enjoy HnR even they could seed 24/7 for their ratio.
*torrent=free in their minds, why should they spend money on seedbox/better internet/electricity 24/7...

Worse case scenario for them is getting banned, but they could renew IP and come back again... Invite are free, and it only hurt the inviters. They just don't care and being selfish and irresponsible. Finally, just want to said these are only my point of view and no offence to anyone.

Why people cheat ? I think cheating is bad and all the cheaters don't care about chairing so they don't care about seeding , Most of the cheaters are from country have bad upload speed (Egypt ) , Also they might cheat in case the tracker is hard to seed or don't have a bones system for example TL , Anyway when i begin at torrent world i didn't know very much so my friend give me some cheating tool and i use it then i got banned :D , However after some time i learned what is torrent and what is seeding so building my ratio wasn't that hard , and i do seeding for for very long time . Anyway some cheaters have the opportunity to build the ratio by a clean way but they refuse and i wish they quit because torrent about chairing :)

I think that's because they do not have the ability to keep the ratio (Some tracker is hard to maintain a good ratio like RevTT,Wh@t,Waffles). Other's may just do it for fun :P

My uploading speed is low so I love ratio free sites. lol
