Even though this image creates a floating effect, none of its elements is moving. The only thing that changes are the colors! :)
You can check it by placing your cursor over the image. It does not move at all!

I still can't understand how this one works. If I squint my eyes until I can barely see it and then open it again though, I can always get her to change directions.

I am not a photoshop expert or graphic artist pro but I guess something to do with the gamma effects when the color is change to black and white

Also, if you want to see it spin the opposite way of what you see naturally check these out. The lines add the perspective that is missing and making your brain make the assumption of direction without enough info
