Look guys, we all spend much time online, right? Some of us have more or less successive online bizness (sites, file hostings, social, ads, graphics etc..). Even if not, don't you think it'd be apt doing what we're doing by the sea, bungalo (or smth more comfy depending on your budget), good weather (9-10 months per year), pina colada, pretty girls, paradise, and your "link" to the whole hurry-scurry world would be your laptop? A couple of trips every 2-3 months back to your homeland just to cashout what you earned online, or even "on-site" (locally)... Sounds attractive to you or not? There are colonies in SEA counting 100-200 families each living that way. They chose downshifting trying to make their lives better, have sold their houses and bought realty over there, do you agree with them?
The only thing that seems to be a very serious challenge is what it takes, it leads to leaving what you're actually at, habitat, family, way of living, carrier, and so on. In other words - to sacrifice smth. IT IS A DECISION OBVIOUSLY. If you could afford travelling back to your homeland once per month for so called "check-points" with your firends, relatives, parents, would you perform such a deed of changing your life so radically?
If you're already a downshifter, please share.
Mod Edit: You can't ask for thanks, people will give it to you when they see fit. ~Synth
