Was on the IRC an just found out that my account was actually disabled because of inactivity....which I cant figure out now because I was seeding all the time just not downloading so its back to the drawing board they just informed me that I'm fine to join again I just have to have an invite....

Great that they're letting you back in. I'm trying to understand this one myself. I consider seeding being active but it seems some sites have a different take on the matter. Some sites consider logging in once a month active and some sites like C* don't. The best way to avoid this is to park your account if you're gonna be away or at least log in once a month, down a torrent, and post one time in the forum.

I find majority of the sites do not consider seeding to be active, you have to actually log into the tracker itself. But then there are some trackers that expect you not only to login but also download a # of gb each month. I think majority just expect you to login. But I am not sure, you really have to check rules of each tracker to know for sure.

I don't. I open the TL torrent and untick "skip hash check" and untick "start utorrent." Then force recheck. Like Freakz says, this is the best way to be sure you have 100% of the file before you manually restart the torrent to seed.

Right click on each torrent and open the containing folder. Are both folders the same folder and you have the same movie in there twice? Or the movie file AND a bunch of rar's?

This is why it's important that the torrent isn't automatically started after the check. So when you initially load the torrent make sure the "start utorrent" is unticked.

I think you did something wrong. All tracker's torrents are modified with your passkey in the announce url. This is why you download both torrents from both sites.

A bit of advice, hunt for new popular rar'd scene torrents to cross seed that are available at both sites before you decide to download anything. Almost always theres a file count icon you can click. Make sure these match on both sites. This will almost always guarantee a 100% recheck.

Maybe HDBits doesn't allow rar's? If you find HDBits has the same torrent with just the movie file all you have to do is extract the rar's from IPT to that folder and force a recheck with the HDBits torrent. If you're not getting at least 98% on your cross seeding effort you should just abandon that torrent. Seed the one you got from IPT though of course.

I suppose its good in one sense being told I can still get back in but as we all know getting another invite to TL can be quite difficult....

Weird that you say that. It's actually because you just reached your 20th post. Now that you're at 20 you can check out the Mid Level Giveaways.

Yeah they are rather common, however I don't risk mine unless the persons actively contributed here at TI (with giving invites/filling requests aswell)

I think you all were right in that the torrent from IPT was rar'ed and the torrent from HDbits was Matraska.

I am having a bit of trouble finding matching torrents for IPT/HDbits for cross seeding.
