Default Undeniably the worst people in the world

There are some terrible people out there. A reading of Current Affairs article subjects has but scratched the surface. Here is one of the most despicable people I've ever heard about residing in the US. Check out the several short video clips (each about 3 min.) and weigh in below.

    http://www.theblaze.com/stories/vile...ickening-feud/

The story raises questions about cyber bullying. This topic has been raging for awhile, and gained even more momentum since a college student committed suicide after their roommate broadcast a hidden camera of their homosexual sex acts with another college student.

The thing is, do we really need the government, or anyone, legislating morality? Don't we already have harassment laws and avenues for recourse for intentional infliction of emotional distress?

I hope these scumbags are feeling hell for what they've put that family through.

People who look to the government to fix societal problems are showing just how much of slaves they are, and just how handicapped in spirit, mind, and being they actually are.

When the main solution people can think of is "hey, lets elect a couple of people, just as ignorant as us, to fix our societal problems, so we can continue focusing on the important things in life, i.e. Desperate Housewives" -- you know that you are living in a society of slaves.

People today are not physical slaves, but they are slaves in mind, spirit, and being.

The government can't fix anything. People see the "government", and "the people" as two interconnected, but two seperate things. As if "the people" can't do this -- this one is for "the government" to fix. What utter nonsense!

The only way society changes is when enough people change -- starting with themselves, then moving out to their social circles, and communities.

When people believe the main way to participate is to "vote", i.e. top-down thinking... and thinking that "yea! we'll participate for 1-2 days, for a few hours, standing in line doing nothing most of that time, every 2-4 years.... and watch football the rest of the time" -- you know people are almost completely disempowered.

Liberty and freedom are not the same thing. We have some (although steadily shrinking.... in the name of increasing well-being....) liberty, but we do not have freedom. The founding fathers were able to secure and leave a legacy of liberty that still resonates somewhat today.

But the people of this country were never free -- they simply rode on the coattails of liberty secured by the revolution.

Freedom precedes liberty, and it only comes from within the individual.

The only solution for problems described in the OP is for more and more people to start understanding it, and speaking out against it. You can't tackle all the problems in the world, so stick to the ones that pull on your heartstrings the most. The internet is a powerful tool. So are offline methods.

People that act like this are...ehm I don't have any words for it :(

I was bullied a lot in my childhood. They always asked me why don't you say anything to them or fight back. Now I'm somewhat older and I somewhat became immune for other peoples ******.

An better world starts with yourself. I have no more confidence and try to help other people. I know what they feel like, but it's very sad to view this video :( . Have people lost their common sense?

I feel sorry for people that always has the urge to make other's feel like crap, just because they want to feel cool. Because that's what it's always about. Being respected, being tough, macho, you name it.

I've never understood how one would ever want to rob another persons right to live life as they want it lived. It's insane. But then again, look around.

We all live in war, everyday. In some way, we always fight, just to be accepted by others. This kid had his entire life robbed, just because people can't keep things to themselves. It's sad.

I think you are right, people are basically mindless slaves, and we need to wake up and take back control.

Of course, this is a little OT, but hey. Needed to be said.
