Verizon is rolling out their 4g network by the end of the year, and their hoping to cover about 110 million people with 4g Verizon 4G LTE Will Be In 38 Cities By the End of the Year
Their are the planned cities. Oh and I found out yesterday that Verizon is doing the $25 unlimited plan and they are doing a $15 dollar data plan (not sure how many mb, but i'd think somewhere around at&t's) new data plans should be rolling out in a month or two.
This would have been so sweet about a year ago. However, I have had a chance to play around with some of the newer Adnroid phones and I gotta say, I am liking them better. Android came out so much later than the iPhone OS that it had to do quite a bit of catching up, but I believe they are just abut caught up and will surpass the iPhone OS very soon. There are so many more hardware options, as well as an ever expanding list of applications (I believe the Android app store is growing faster than the iPhone app store?). All studies have shown that the Android OS will FAR surpass the popularity of the iPhone OS very soon. Once that happens, market share will depict where the application programming efforts will be focused.
How much tougher can it be to make a white one?
But anyways glad to fill you guys in. My dad went to a Verizon store today and was talking with the sales rep about getting an android phone. Then he started talking about the new data plans and iPhone and the sales rep thought my dad was nuts. Made me feel better that I know more than the Verizon employee's.
This is great I have always wanted to have iPhone but I have verizon so up to now :( but now :) so yay!
