    Default What Service Provider Do You Use?

    I currently live in Northern California and I have DSL.

    I used to have Comcast about a year or so ago, but almost every hour my internet would completely drop for about 5 minutes then come back up.

    So I switched to DSL hoping to fix this problem, and for about a year it never did it and out of the blue it started doing it again.

    Anyone else have problems like this?

    A lot of people have problems with Comcast, but it depends on where you are.

    Some gets a lot more than they pay for, some hardly get anything.

    Use this;
    Speedtest.net - World Results

    Then click on "My location", to see the best ISP's in your area.

    I have comcast and had the same problem,after a lot of trouble shooting i found out that it was the cheep modems they supply,i finely went out and bought my own and i could not be happier,not only does it save a bit on the bill but it never drops,i wish i would have bought one sooner.

    I live in Canada and use Shaw. Get about 1.2 mb/s down and 300 kb/s up with a download limit of around 75 gb.

    Good enough for my needs, and the only problem is the connection going out on me about twice a year. Sometimes for a few hours, sometimes for a day or two.

    I live on Long Island, NY and have (and like) FIOS.
    ~25 Mbps down and ~3 Mbps up.
    If it's available in your area, I definitely recommend it.
