Do you've a Blu-ray drive capable of writing, not only reading? That's the only way to burn a Blu-ray image to a disc (a Blu-ray disc, obviously).

Yeah, that's exactly what you need. Make sure it's one that can write, though. Most of the ones that are advertised are read-only, and you'll have to pay a nice bit more for one that can write.

I would not recommend this as single layer BD-R discs are something like $8, and dual layer around $15. You might as well just go buy the actual Bluray. If you are just trying to play Blurays on a tv or something, I'd suggest getting an external hard drive and a media player like the WD TV Live.

Use ImgBurn it's what the experts and power users are using. It's easy to use for n00bs and experts. Best of all it's free and made by the same person who made DVD Decrypter (best software for stripping copy protection in DVD's and burning to media).
Japanese media are the best media to burn to (Verbatim, Sony, TDK and Panasonic). They're readable in a PS3 and almost all players.
