Long time back I studied about these color illusion.how the shade if affected when a other color is kept near to the thing and also about the focus...but it's always interesting to see these things...nice find bud.. ;)

I had to spend some time staring at the black dot to be able to see that. At first I was just seeing the same color as the background.
I just kinda of see an outlined white.
But cool nonetheless!

It vaguely reminds of some of the stuff covered back in a Uni course. Something about color vision and having cones in the eye that detect red, green, and blue. When you stare at something you can overstimulate the receptors the point that your brain ignores it so then you "see" using the less stimulated receptors. Or something like that. It begs the question: What happens when I stare at boobies all day?
