Thread: What do you dream about?

Hey just wondering if anyone has had any cool dreams lately. I'd been working on attempting Lucid dreaming at one point (I used to ask myself throughout the day if I was dreaming, hoping by force of habit, I'd do it in a dream once and then awaken in my dream while staying asleep), and although I haven't done that lately I've had a few other dreams which I thought were pretty cool




-Today my sweet tooth was persistent in its desire for a little candy and although I did not get any candy, I fell asleep for a while, and in my dream I had a huge bowl of multi colored Swedish fish. It was awesome, I just kept munching, OM NOM NOM!

-The other day I had a dream that I was back in my hometown and I borrow a crotch rocket motorcycle off of my friend from down the street. Unfortunately I crashed it pretty quickly after getting onto the Highway and had to walk all the way back home to tell him!

My dreams are almost universally fun. I rarely wake up scared, or have dreams of my teeth falling out (which is apparently common. Sounds Shitty).

What about you? What do you dream about? Can you lucid dream? Are they scary?

I usually dream about things that happened to me lately. They make no sense and the subject of the dream changes constantly. My dreams are usually about me doing something awesome :D

I like my crazy dreams, they give me good ideas :)

For some reason, the only time I ever dream is when my mind is in turmoil either from stress or needless drama. I almost never dream of anything pleasant so I would have to say I generally dislike dreaming.

Either I don't dream or I don't remember them. Ever since I saw Jurassic park as a little kid, I think I've become too scared to dream (that scene when the guy rushes to the toilet to get his head bit off by a T-rex.) Yeah, that and the other Jurassic park scene when they move through a grass field full of raptors.

Yea, my psychology teacher in freshman intro to psych said that the majority of dreams people have are bad dreams. I wonder if this reflects on the collective state of mind of our people? It seems to me that if the mind has the power to create anything during dreams (which it certainly seems capable of, maybe it couldn't create a new color such as certain colors oysters see not in our visual spectrum), it would most certainly create something pleasant for you (many people report of problems being solved during their dreams such as the man who invented the automatic sewing machine), and it would also seem to me that if the minds of the majority of people are creating unpleasant things for them, maybe theres something a little awry with our lifestyles.

I usually enjoy my dreams....what dreams may come true, nobody knows. Just a lifetime we have....keep on dreaming!

Moved to entertainment

Recently, I was diagnosed with a sleeping disorder, and due to that sleeping disorder I have much more vivid and frequent dreams. Some of them are repetitive, things I've dreamed of before. But not too long ago, I slept for about 15 hours straight without waking up once, and instead of having different changing dreams throughout the night, I had one constant one. Because the passage of time feels so much more in a dream to me, the dream lasted the course of five years in my head. I fell in love with someone I didn't like in real life, now whenever I see here I get this weird feeling, like we went through the odd breakup and I'm awkward around her. I made friends with people that I don't even know exist for sure.

So do I like dreaming, sometimes...

Wow, thats really pretty extraordinary Dan. I've had really long adventures. Nothing along the lines of 5 years though, mine was more a full day of mansion exploring and aircraft flying with a few friends that probably switched up here and there throughout the dream.

I kind of want an epic now lol.
