Thread: What would you do if your car got stolen?

Okay. I drive a 1999 Honda Civic Si. It was dropped with coilovers, Cold Air Intake, Cat-Back Exhaust, 18" Racing Hart C2 Exhaust, Alpine CD/MP3 Player, SledgeHammer 12" Competition Subs and MTX 2400 watt Amp, and Kamanairi Carbon Fiber Hood. I did a most recent tuneup, spent about $1200 dollars to replace clutch, water pump, timing belt, sparkplugs, hoses, and everything that wears out. I spent about $10.000 when I first bought it about 4 years ago. I spent a good amount fixing it to get where I wanted which is about a good $3000. I felt good about the work I put on it? Then it gets stolen!

You will probably laugh if I said that, it got stolen in less then 5 min! You will probably laugh that after posting it for sale for $7500 it get stolen in less then 24 hours from the post! I cant get over it. Also I did not have full coverage on insurance!

Please help me recuperate on this TRADEDY! I just want to know what you would do? I did get the guy assumed to steal my car in jail. But Im not sure if was him. He had the parts, but did'nt admit to it. He is in jail now, I think. I caught him by an add on the net bout a cluster he was selling. It was a 1999 Civic Si Cluster? Hmm.. My car got stolen the day before, So I called and I asked how many miles? He said 141,000 miles. Hmm.. Again my car had 141,000 miles. So then i asked what part of the city are you from. He said Mililani. I said okay. I will call you later? After, I told my friend to call for me, cuz I didn't want to look suspucious. And since I go on car cruises alot, the people might know how I look, and wont sell it to me? So i went with my friends to go meet up the guy later that night. I also had the cops on standby telling them my situation. He hands over the cluster, my friends takes a look? Then the cop came down. I then showed up, and verifed my cluster with some markings i put. filled out reports, and he was put in jail that night! I didn't get to go court though, so Im not sure if he is in jail. and investaging the incident, cuz it's been a month?

Oh well long story short, Im feeling at the lowest part of my life, and I feel like just dying. Not Commiting Suicide, but just dying. I got laid off at work, and was collecting unemployment, till that ran out. I just broke up with my girlfriend about a month before the incident? I really do need something to upkeep my integrity, or spirit?



I do have another car, cuz I always had 2. But I had to fix that. They took my daily driver, which was mostly stock, but I used it to get everywhere! My other car is a 10sec Nissan 240sx. Motor Swapped, Upgraded Everything! Worth alot. I gotta replace intercooler cuz of curb! Also it's the 2nd most stolen car, 1st is a Civic! This is not good news.!

I wish I could put you back together again, but it would cost more to do that, then buy a new car! I will always love you and had good times together. Go with a bike? LOL JK I'm a motorcycle rider, and I'd shoot someone if Jessica was stolen. She stays in a garage. But hey, if this guy has parts, that's grand theft auto, he's fucked unless he tells who actually stole it, unless it was him. LOL I really do hope you get your car back man. I know how it feels to have something stolen from you. I had a 1TB HDD stolen, in addition to my netbook, and roommates 2 laptops. I went to work, he came home an hour later, everything was gone. Sucks man. Good luck man.

Hahaha, put it simply, find the guy, and kick his ass.

it is so annoying when your car is got stolen... but sometimes is actually a good thing because you can get the insurance money and buy a new one(:

damn that sux! ive never had a car stolen so i dont know how you feel, but i was going to ask if its fully insured then its annoying it was stolen, but at least you can get the insurance money and buy a new one. i see you didnt have it fully insured though so thats a problem. i guess youve learnt to get full insurance next time. :/

Never had a car stolen, crappy luck man. Motorocycles are great if you live in a warm section of the world. I get a little sad everytime I have to put mine away for the winter.

Sooo... Usually the police will give you a note that the guy was put in jail. Then they are suppose to call you to tell you if they release him. For one thing, this guy will never admit that he did it. He's too smart for that. And another thing, he had the parts which is evidence ENOUGH. For more proof, he was trying to sell it. Either that or he bought it from the person who did.

Call your municipal or the phone number the police gave you. If they investigate Grand theft auto jail sentence is about 3 + years depending what state you live.

I feel your pain with the car by the way... I'm real sorry

For now Talk to your family or friends for support or people here are pretty nice and supportive. I mean worse things could have happen, like being mugged for the car or worse.
