Thread: Best And Most Efficient Way Get The Files You Want?

Okay guy's? I was just wondering what are the best and most efficient ways to get your files? What kind of files do you download? How fast is the download?

So far, I only know of a couple of way's.

*) Scene Axx/Top Sites. Need Info plz? Some say this is the BEST WAY!
1) Usenet. Direct Downloads!
2) Forum BBS. Sites that give direct links to like rapidshare or megaupload.
3) Private or Public Torrent Sites.
4) Google Lol "Any other way's to get stuff?"

So far, I just want to know what are topsites/scene axx? I heard it's the best way, but not sure for guaranteed 0sec releases, before it hit torrent sites! Fast downloads like torrents. I dont know, anything else?

What are the way's the scene releases their stuff? How does it go down the ladder? Is bittorrent the last place the release get their?

Am I missing any other way's to get the stuff i am looking for?

Scene Axx/Top Sites is where the release groups release their stuff to, I believe.

The scene works like this way: (I am simplifying it for obvious reasons).

Release groups get er, stuff, from various sources, then these items has to be processed (cracked, encoded whatever) and packaged and released.

Release groups either have their own server (fast FTP server) or are affiliated with some established server. These will be their headquaters (WHQ, EHQ etc.). Also they have affiliated sites, these sites will be officially couriered by the group for all their releases.

Then there are courier groups that just transfer files between these servers. And couriers in release groups also do the same.

These servers are called topsites and they have strict ratio requirement and complex security system including multiple proxies and firewalls.

It used to be many topsites have pay2leech. Who will pay to leech? Maybe pirate stuff vendors. I have not got any update in years so I do not know how it works now.

Groups and topsites select their members very carefully so if you do not know how to get it, do not bother.
