Default How much do you tip the pizza guy and why?

As many of us are geeks, I'm sure we all love online pizza ordering.
I'm wondering how much of a tip you usually give the delivery guy, and why?
Also, if you want to, tell us your favorite pizza delivery place

Papa Johns, Hawaiin Barbeque Chicken Pizza. I'll usually tip like 5$ regardless of the price. For pizza, that's pretty good, I'll order like 1 pizza, it'll be 20 bucks, they get 5$. So, everyone's happy. LOL

Well I dont Tip, there is no system for giving Tip on Pizza delivery here in our country so we do good with the Thanks. Although, we Tip in Restraunts and Clubs, the Pizza Guys doesnt seem to be lucky enough to recieve that Tip here.
PS: Is it necessary for you to Tip in your Country? What do people think/saw or what is the society opinion for those people who dont Tip or Tip less?

I work as a server in a restaurant, and I am by no means racist, but the area that I live in is predominantly low class African Americans, and the people in that area don't know how to fuckin tip. I've had people run up a $200 tab and leave NOTHING. Not a penny. But white people have done that too, I find that people in the area that I work in are all low class cheap bastards. And they all come to my restaurant. And it sucks.

Like Charizard before me I live in a country where tipping is not standard. I only tip if the service is above normal or if I'm in a large group. The simple fact is over here in the Netherlands minimum wage is high enough that no-one is forced to live of tips as they are in the US and the salaries are part of the price, so for something as simple as delivering food I generally give no tip or just round up slightly.

Well, unfortunately, the US is one of the few countries left where EVERYONE in the service industry is relying on tips and second jobs in order ot survive. It's pathetic, we are supposedly the most affluent country...... This is a complete sidenote, which I'm going to post elsewhere. LOL But yea, tips in the US are horrible, and frankly, I'd rather live in France. I speak a little French. That or Brazil. Anywhere but here.

Usually only like $2-3. Basically close to how much gas they could have used to get me my food.

Favorite delivery place is definitely Hungry Howie's. YUM :D

OMG Hungry Howie's is BOMB. I used to order them in Florida. LOL If you ever get to the Orlando/Disney area, there's a place called Flipper's Pizza, you'll never have better pizza.

Hmm, the last time I ordered pizza, I tipped with a phillipines coin from 1953 -- worth 1 peso. :D. The guy looked like he didn't know whether to be happy or annoyed.

Usually it varies from nothing, to 25% or so, depending on the speed, and other factors. If the guy looks like a bum, I'll often tip less. But speed is usually the biggest thing.

And ever since watching some comic -- can't remember the name -- talk about stealing slices of pizza from the box and fiddling the other pieces around to disguise it, I usually open the box and take a quick peek before paying.

Usually $2, but a lot of places already include tip in the charge.
