Diablo 2...always
Do people play SA-MP? It's a multiplayer mod for GTA SA, and very popular, around 40,000 players totally, and there are about 10,000 servers. It even works with the pirated version, maybe that's why it's so popular and is so fun that I don't even care for new games lol.
I play it since 2007 and it's still never gets boring or old. I would recommend people to at least take a look at it :)
