Thread: Freeleech, do you abuse it?

if i see a torrent has freeleech and i like it, ill get it. seed it for a long time. ill sometimes snatch up to 10 on freeleech, but seed them all back. one site stats: 300 up and 60 down.

always give back.

i think it also is a good idea to help new members out with their ratios.

for me though, i seem to have bad timing and come in at the end of free leech period. :/

Freeleech for the most part, probably only causes more people to abuse the system then to actually participate like you should in it. However personally, I find them very helpful considering I do not have a seedbox and am on a limited upload connection. I know the few that Waffles have had really helped me get out of the gutter and back into the game. Now kind of another subject but also one in the same, I believe ratio-less trackers prove more noteworthy and less damaging than freeleech events. When everything is ratio-less, people tend to abide by the "seed for a certain amount of time" rule which very much helps the life of torrents (which I seem to find is a common issue in private and public trackers). Overall though, I see freeleech torrents to be a positive move by a tracker and personally I'd like to see more of it!
