hi all just wondering how many of you would like to start there own dedicated tracker but dont have the resources to do so and if you started your own what sections would you provide and what type of layout and etc would it be open or private tracker and how would you make it different from all the other sites?

Torrent sites are already an over saturated area, and being able to offer something good/original/build up a userbase is a difficult task. There was an interesting article on torrent-freak a while ago about setting up your own private tracker, but I cant find it!

There are enough really good trackers out there already. I don't see any use of making your own which most likely won't build up a large user base unless you have the right connections and won't compare to some of the high level private trackers.

Nah, I would better help some of trackers with my resources.

Not my cup of tea but hats off to those that have the time and patience to follow through with it.

I don't have the knowledge or the time to start or run a tracker, and there is already a lot of really good trackers so there is really no need for another one.

I wouldn't do it because its not worth the effort for one, but more importantly you are increasing the risk of attracting attention from the authorities if you are the owner of a tracker. Its totally different from merely being a user of one, and pretty risky in my opinion.
