Thread: What gadget/Tech/software could you not live without?

I'm not talking about the standard stuff necessarily (PC, games console, mobile phone...). Something more specific to yourself (software, unusual gadget....)

I've been a DJ for 15 years and have always stuck to vinyl and avoided digital formats.
Until I bought 'Serato scratch live', which with a couple of timecoded vinyls and an audio interface means I'm able to play music files on my laptop, using normal vinyl decks, a normal mixer and normal needles.

I reckon this is certainly going to save me a hernia, from lugging boxes full of records around. I also realised that with my 3g card, if I get a request for something I don't have, I can dowload it in a couple of minutes.

What toy could you not live without?:001_smile:

Software: Directory Opus. The number one single most awesome software I've ever used. Best File Manager, hands down. Can't live without it.

Well this might sound cheesy but i have a swiss army knife on my keys,i use it for all kinds of stuff and comes in very handy. I guess its not really a gadget but more of a tool but thats ok i guess.

Doesn't need to be hi tech!

I could not get by without my Adobe Suite .... especially Photoshop!!!!

My SKS, without it I can't go inna wetlands and bring back some Boar.

Firefox. Hands down, best web browser imo. With the addons, and huge userbase Firefox > Everything else.

(That and Notepad++ for editing code; Android SDK; Netbeans for java)
