Recently an Australian judge ruled that ISP's cannot be held responsible for the bittorrent activity of their clients. Meanwhile, the Aussie government is fighting the three-strikes and you are out provisions of ACTA. These are both great signs for our community.

You can read about it here:

You can read about the three-strikes provisions in ACTA in an earlier post I made on TI, here:

This is the same government that wants to bring in a mandatory ISP level internet filter. I gues we can't have it all, especially when it involves politics!

    Australia kicks ass!

Just wish we could do away with these archaic imposed "download limits" cause they really suck

I agree... The best I have found so far is 120GB/Month and that's still not enough!

    Hey Menz,
Internode have just brought out a new plan i am going to change to very soon.

200Gb ADSL2+ (20m down/1m up) for $199.95 per month shaping to 128k down no shaping on uploads as opposed to 64k both ways on other isp's

Thats the best value high end plan i have been able to find so far, can't really afford to spend more than than $200pm. If you find any better let me know
