Thread: Who is buying an iPad and why?

I received an e-mail yesterday about Apple's new iPad i watched the videos and looked at the specs however I don't see any real advantages of having one, so I'm going to have to say I won't be buying one till i see a real use for them.

What are your thoughts on this "iPad", Would you buy one? If so why or why not?

They aren't very good basically stretch an iPod Touch and you get an iPad. The icons are even the same size with 4 across making the desktop look rather funny.

I wouldnt dream of wasting my money on an ipad.

to put it basically no because its just a big ipod touch, maybe because of all the hype i believed that this was gonna be amazing, heck ive had £700 ready to blow on it for ages but im afraid i was realy disapointed, no camera no multi-tasking and its running basically the same firmware as an ipod touch so im afraid im gonna waste my money on the beautiful sony vaio z series laptop which is everything the ipad should have been minus the touch capabilities of course:001_tongue: so i can sit back and enjoy msn AND internet at the same time, how amazing, two apps running at the same

my advice wait for second gen, if that sucks get an iphone!

Yeah...I was very disappointed with apple. Usually they have fantastic ideas, but this one seems to be a dud. The only pro I can think of is that it must feel really cool to browse the web on it.

I thought it would be alright for like surfing the web around the house, but the lack of flash makes me sad.
