    Default Intel vs. AMD

Intel! Hands down because I heard a lot of good things about it and even though I do have an AMD processor, I am still a fan o f Intel. I also like Intel because there processors are very powerful and in my opinion faster than AMD.

Why is Intel better? I myself like amd more because they are cheaper. On a side note i may finally have to with ATI after 5 long years(in computer years that's long) with my love for nvidia. You just cant beat ATI's price and performance right now.

Intel, on the contrary of AMD has never disappointed me, not to mention that it's lightyears ahead with its technology.

Intel is far form "light years" ahead of amd and i have had both amd and intel chips fry on my abit i have i tend to over clock the hell out of them. Those chips lucky enough to make it past two years of life get to become my seedbox or a linux box and sometimes even both.

Ok, I have some serious issues today and I don't like to be "smart", expecially not on the forum where I'm still a newb.
When I'm new to some forum, the first thing to do is that I read the rules and FAQ's.
After that when I check the parts of forum that interest me, I SEARCH for something I haven't found.
If I didn't find it THAN I start a new thread asking for what I would like to know .
There's identical thread to this one, and it has really many posts and people are discussin' there for a bit now.
Take a look all of you who posted in here:

I've always favoured Intel over AMD, even when AND were the leaders a few year back.
This also has to do with the chipsets use on the motherboards.
Intels RAID has always worked flawlessly for me and no matter what maked of chipset I've encountered on an AMD based motherbeard, the raid support has always been dire.
Nvidia should have stuck graphic chips and don't even get my started on the likes of Via and Sis.
If I had a £ or $ for every AMD RAID based box that I've had to repair under warranty, I would be a very rich man.
No that it matters much but with all my years working in the computer industry, I've seen more dead AMD CPU's out of the packing than I have Intels.

Intel may be slightly faster, but it doesn't win on a price/performance aspect. AMD chips and MOBOs are just cheaper...
