    Default Haiti Logistic Disaster

As many of you have followed news like CNN and such.
The thing wich most frustrate me is that he airport is PILING out of supplies but the people are still starving. I think they should do better their best.

The first thing they should do is try to repair the Harbour. If the harbour is fixed alot of more supplies could arrive at any moment. Now there are alot of ships with supplies waiting on the sea but they can't deliver te cargo because of the harbour.

If you find the fact that they cant get the supply's out of the airport frustrating or that the harbor is still unimpaired, then you may really rage when you read this article.: Royal Caribbean's decision to dock ships at Haitian resort creates controversy - Yahoo! News

There are a lot of logistical difficulties, but in fairness to the rescue workers, the harbor isn't really the main one. In fact there's a glut of supplies, and if need be ships can go to the Dominican Rep and truck their supplies into Haiti. The problem is security. When it comes right down to it, no one is willing to send in their people if it means risking their safety. And that's most likely why there's so much emphasis on planning the distribution of supplies. I'm not saying that to make Haitians out to be bad people in anyway, I think it's quite normal for people to loot and become violent when they haven't drank or eaten in 7 days. That there are so few reports of civil unrest is a testament to the Haitian people.

If you want something to be outraged by, recall what Pat Robertson said about Haiti's perdicament. I can't help but chuckle when he says, "true story". Ahh the face of the Evangelical movement. That is just sick. While people are dying from hunger and thirst.
Look at the size of that ship.
